How do I get a duplicate title in North Dakota?

If the vehicle was last titled in North Dakota

1. Download and fill out the North Dakota Duplicate Title Application
2. Submit the application
   • In person at the Motor Vehicle Division
     • Time frame: 1 week
     • Cost to obtain: $5
   • By mailing the application to:

If the vehicle was last titled outside of North Dakota

The registered titled owner(s) of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled.
