How do I get a duplicate title in Kansas?

If the vehicle was last titled in Kansas

1. Download and fill out the Kansas Duplicate Title Application
2. Submit the application
   • In person at the Division of Motor Vehicles
     • Time frame: 7-10 business days
     • Cost to obtain: $10
   • By mailing the application to:

       • Time frame: 3-4 weeks

If the vehicle was last titled outside of Kansas

The registered titled owner(s) of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled.
