If the vehicle was last titled in Hawaii

1. Download and fill out the Hawaii Duplicate Title Application
2. Submit the application
   • In person at the Division of Motor Vehicles
     • Time frame: Same day
     • Cost to obtain: $10
   • By mailing the application to:
     • Department of Customer Services
       Division of Motor Vehicle, Licensing & Permits

       • Time frame: 1 week
       • Cost to obtain: $10

If the vehicle was last titled outside of Hawaii

The registered titled owner(s) of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled.
