How do I get a duplicate title in Utah?

If the vehicle was last titled in Utah

1. Download and fill out the Utah Duplicate Title Application
2. Submit the application
   • In person at the Division of Motor Vehicles
     • Time frame: 2 weeks
     • Cost to obtain: $6
   • By mailing the application to:
   • Division of Motor Vehicles
     Mail and Correspondence

     Salt Lake City, Utah 84130
     • Time frame: 2 weeks
     • Cost to obtain: $6

If the vehicle was last titled outside of Utah

The registered owner of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled.
