✍️ Signature Tips
Review name(s) on front of title
The name(s) used to sign the title must exactly match the name(s) shown on the title. For instance, if the title has John Jacob Doe Jr listed, include your middle name and suffix.
If you have changed your name since the title was issued, print and sign using the name displayed on the title.
Confirm if multiple owners are listed
If multiple owners are listed on the title, all must print and sign their names. However, if the names are separated only by ‘OR’, only one owner’s signature is required.
The person(s) named on the front of the title must follow these steps:
- Sign the back of the title where it reads “SELLER: Signature(s).”
- Print name(s) on the back of the title where it reads “Printed Name(s).”
Buyer section
Leave this blank, as we will fill that out when processing your title.
🚫 Prevent voiding your title
- Use black or blue pen, only
- Don’t use a highlighter or white-out
- No strikethroughs, write-overs, scribbles, or tears
- Do not sign in the Dealer Reassignment section, unless you’re an authorized dealer
🏦 Lien or financial institution on the title
If there’s a lien listed on the title, it must either be released on the title or accompanied by a separate lien release letter.
