How do I get a duplicate title in Louisiana?

If the vehicle was last titled in Louisiana

1. Download and fill out the Louisiana Duplicate Title Application
2. Submit the application
   • In person at the Office of Motor Vehicles
     • Time frame: 7-10 business days
     • Cost to obtain: $68.50 + handling fees
   • By mailing the application to:

If the vehicle was last titled outside of Louisiana

The registered titled owner(s) of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled.
