How do I get a duplicate title in Georgia?

If the vehicle was last titled in Georgia

1. Download and fill out the Georgia Duplicate Title Application
2. Submit the application
   • In person at the Motor Vehicle Division
     • Time frame: Same day
     • Cost to obtain: $8 + additional fees
   • By mailing the application to:
     • Attn: Dealer Section
       DOR/Motor Vehicle Division
       P.O. Box 740381
       Atlanta, GA 30374-0381
       • Time frame: 7-10 business days
       • Cost to obtain: $8 + additional fees

If the vehicle was last titled outside of Georgia

The registered titled owner(s) of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled.
