How do I get a duplicate title in Florida?

If the vehicle was last titled in Florida

1. Download and fill out the Florida Duplicate Title Application
2. Submit the application
   • In person at the Department of Motor Vehicles
     • Time frame: Same day
     • Cost to obtain: $85.75
   • By mailing the application to the Department of Motor Vehicles
     • Time frame: 2-3 weeks
     • Cost to obtain: $85.75

If the vehicle was last titled outside of Florida

The registered titled owner(s) of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled.
