How do I get a duplicate title in Colorado?

If the vehicle was last titled in Colorado

1. Download and fill out the Colorado Duplicate Title Application
2. Submit the application
   • In person at the Division of Motor Vehicles
     • Time frame: Same day
     • Cost to obtain: $8.20
   • By mailing the application to:
     • Department of Revenue
     • Vehicle Services Section
     • P O Box 173350 Rm 150
     • Denver, C O 80217-3350
       • Time frame: 2-3 weeks
       • Cost to obtain: $8.20

If the vehicle was last titled outside of Colorado

The registered titled owner(s) of the vehicle must apply for a duplicate title through the state in which the vehicle was last titled.
